El Gobierno nacional anunció la extensión de la cuarentena hasta el 11 de octubre próximo aunque aclaró que serán las provincias las que decidan las características del aislamiento y recomendó aumentar las restricciones en varias jurisdicciones del interior del país por el incremento de casos.
En un mensaje publicado en las redes sociales en el que por primera vez no aparece el presidente Alberto Fernández, el Gobierno confirmó que la cuarentena seguirá 21 días más, hasta el 11 de octubre. Sin embargo, esta vez no se comunicó ninguna medida especial, sino que se aclaró que en cada caso lo decidirán las “autoridades locales”.
No obstante, en el mensaje se aclaró que “desde el Gobierno nacional la recomendación es incrementar las restricciones en forma transitoria para disminuir la circulación de las personas y reducir las posibilidades de contagio” en aquellas zonas donde en los últimos 15 días se incrementaron los contagios: Jujuy, Mendoza, Río Negro, Santa Cruz, Tierra del Fuego, Santa Fe, La Rioja, Tucumán, Salta, Neuquén y Córdoba.
